范文：

Whether the elderly people should keep their working status is a hot issue that has been discussed. I agree with the view that aging people should remain hired. On the whole, a great number of old people are still working in their later life. 


On the one hand, delaying of retirement is not only beneficial to their fitness, but also a great help of their psychological health. Since they want to continue to work, their life habits have to remain the same, namely, get up early in the morning and enjoy three meals on time. In order to work, they need to maintain optimal state. Moreover, they will feel a sense of achievement as they are still contributing to the society and be self-reliant. They tend to be more energetic, unlike the ones who were already retired, they will suffer neither isolation nor procrastination. 


On the other hand, people who prefer to work in their old age will enjoy a compatible family relationship. Delaying retirement makes the elderly healthier, thus their offspring may not worry about them, therefore create more harmonious. Besides, people are likely to become more independent if their parents are still working in their later years for they need to take care of their children on their own instead of relying on the older generation.


However, people may still concerned about the physical health of the elderly. When people are getting old, they are supposed to live a peaceful life, they can either go travelling or taking care of their grandchildren. People believed that elder people is less valuable and productive. What is even worse, they might need to be taken care of while they are working. As a matter of fact, the statutory retirement age has been postponed, so this argument is not a serious issue.
In conclusion, my main point is that it is necessary for old people to stay employed, though there are disadvantages exist, there are still more advantages than negative effects. I agree with the statement that people should continue to work at their old age.
