Furthering education contemporarily is no longer an essential part of future plan among a considerable proportion of the young due to the ill-feeling they suffering from during schooling. As a result, the populace begins to realize that it is the high time for us to analyze reasons of this situation and means to tackle it.
For one thing, both the distorted value system and stressful school life can be regarded as main reasons making young people dislike their study in school. To begin with, seemingly everyone in the entire society is pursuing material life, dreaming of purchasing luxury houses and extravagant cars. Once the young find out that schooling cannot bring what they want badly, they start to complain how useless education is for their dreamed life style. On top of this, horrible memory of school life is what tortures young people even after their graduation. Plenty of homework and a great number of exams are what students have to be confronted with every week, leaving seriously adverse impression for them.
For another, mass media and governments are supposed to work collectively to deal with this situation. Primarily, media are able to use their coverages to modify people’s value system, with emphasizing the significance of spiritual life and avoiding broadcasting misleading and negative information to the public. Undoubtedly, a good educational background does bring people more satisfaction to people’s mental life quality. Additionally, educational departments of governments must be responsible for releasing pressure of students, through designing interesting and effective curriculum. Reducing unnecessary homework and exams can enable students to have more time to get relaxation and do what they are really fond of.
In summary, in spite of negative feeling to learning that majority of young people have, as long as mass media and related governmental offices help the young build up a positive value system and provide less stressful learning environment, interest of learning will definitely be enhanced substantially among them.
